Christian Low, AIA - President
A licensed Architect, educated in the United States, with over 30 years of in-depth experience leading design firms and directing international teams of design and engineering professionals delivering major hospitality, luxury residential and integrated mixed-use projects around the pacific rim and beyond.
Mr. Low is well known for his creative and strategic design process and his deep commitment to achieving high quality design outcomes through a comprehensive multi-disciplinary approach - carefully integrating planning, architecture, interiors, lighting, landscape, engineering and related disciplines through all phases of planning, design and approval to successful fruition.
Since graduating from Harvard University, developed a diverse and comprehensive body of work featuring integrated destination resort properties, mixed-use urban hotels, small scale boutique and large luxury hospitality projects, branded and exclusive residential developments, spas, clubhouses, retail centers, office campuses, high rise office properties, interiors and the adaptive reuse of historic properties. Geographical experience includes projects located in Australia, Azerbaijan, mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, New Zealand, Russia, North America, and the South Pacific.
Throughout career has held various key C-level leadership, management, business development, design, technical and professional service delivery roles. Founder and/or strategic leader of several highly successful international design and planning firms. including RSK Architects, HBA Architects and Interiors, HWI Architects + Planners , AECOM and now Lplus+A. Clients include large private developers, institutional investors, high net worth individuals, architects, interior designers, hospitality operators and multi-nationals with global footprint.
A noted design business leader and innovator in the Hospitality industry, Mr. Low’s projects have won numerous design accolades, achieved significant commercial success, and been published internationally. He has served on Architecture, Interior Design and Urban Planning awards juries and has lectured and written about emerging trends in Hospitality, mixed-use commercial real estate and sustainable tourism. He is an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and contributor to the Council on Urban Habitats and Tall Buildings (CTBUH).
